A.D. Valor Technical Cleaning hosted a very special in-person event for all the Victims Advocates, Medical Examiner’s, and Coroner’s throughout Colorado and out-of-state attendees over zoom. That evening we had amazing guest speakers and a keynote fireside chat and case study with Dr. Baden, American physician and board-certified forensic pathologist and Nancy Lewis, Executive Director of Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance (COVA).

About our guest speakers:

Dr. Baden provided a deep dive into his findings around multiple unique cases throughout his career including the OJ Simpson trial and Jeffery Epstein case amongst many others. He went through pictures and discovery on each case, explaining how he came to this conclusions on cause of death.  Dr. Baden was instrumental on the exhumation of multiple bodies and controversial cases throughout his career dating back to the 70s. Fascinating research that he was willing to share with our audience.

Nancy Lewis has been a leader for victim’s advocacy groups throughout the United States. She has been on many scenes and trains victims advocates in Colorado on what they might experience on the job. It is near impossible to predict the unfortunate situation one advocate might be experiencing but COVA does an amazing job preparing the volunteers on multiple different scenarios. Unfortunately Colorado has seen many mass casualty shootings since Columbine High School. Nancy has been there for all of them. She has created the program on how to prepare for these situations, what happens when it occurs, and the after on how to support grieving families. For families that have experienced homicides to suicides, Nancy and the Volunteers at COVA have made a huge impact on the community by supporting grieving families. They understand the importance of having Valor provide the biohazard/after death cleanup and reconstruction for the families. We were honored to have Nancy discuss her program with our audience.

Valor was able to partner with the American Board Medical Death Investigators (ABMDI) to offer continuing education for all attendees.

Please reach out for more information on our next event.
